The trip to visit Erin and Mike in Virginia did not go fishless. Mike and I floated the New River in southwest Virginia with Greasy Creek Outfitter’s proprietor Mike Smith and we managed to catch and release a number of nice smallmoth bass. For dining purposes though Mike boated a couple of nice flathead catfish that came home with us.
